TLDR: Farcry 4's story wasn't that great, which made the carbon copy gameplay really stand out. The survival elements of 2 mixed with a solid story would make a helluva game They need to bring back those survival elements from F2. They need to take this game back to its roots with FarCry 5. One wants to re-build the country through a Scarface esque drug lord empire, the other wants to take the country back to its medieval roots of marrying off young girls. If Ajay was so quick to run from Pagan Min at the beginning of the game because he appeared crazy and killed at will, then why does Ajay decide to accept missions from two equally crazy people. Ajay was killing because two people he'd just met told him he should. Jason was killing to survive and save his friends. I never got his motivation to blindly follow Sabal and Amita.

Ajay is pretty much the same guy at the end of the game as he is at the beginning. I just felt the characters didn't measure up in F4. Vas and Citra were also standout characters, Buck comes to mind as well as a great sleaze ball villain. The story in Farcry 4 took a back seat to the gameplay, Ajay felt bland compared to Jason Brody, the later actually had a story arc, his character evolved throughout the game and culminated in an intense choice at the climax of the game. It definitely felt like a re-skin of Farcry 3, my fear is this series turning into a CoD cookie cutter releases every year. Developer: Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Shanghai.
